What We Do
Ticketmaster
In 2003 Pronesia first shaped the celebrity event, then named "Just a Five Dollar Do - by bringing together a handful of well known All Blacks & Kiwi League Internationals together to battle it out for the "bragging rights" of which code had the wit & talent off field and on stage

Challenges that are inspired by TV shows, the Generation Game and Whose Line is it Anyway, prompted founder Wesley Faleolo to provide the need to produce a "Freshie - Celebrity Theatre Sports" show - now known as The STAGE of Origin Challenge. A mixture of similar "one liners" usually found on Bro'town, and watching sporting celebrities leave their comfort zone has proven to be a winning formula for a hilarious spectacle of a show.

The STAGE of Origin challenge was formed. The battle of the codes - to hold the reigns, to hold the Title Championship Belt.

The original purpose for such a show was to support teams in Pronesia's Summer Tag football modules, where tag football teams were given the option to purchase tickets to the show at $5.00 and resell the tickets at $25.00, to receive a $20.00 return, which helped pay for their registration fees and uniforms.

The show also fulfilled a purpose to provide a platform for upcoming new artists.
The likes of Niki Ahu, who went away to win Mai FM's Rhythm Nation and also groups Cydel and Adeaze who frequent the charts, and the hugely popular Spacifix, have all graced the stage in their early years

In 2004, Pronesia Group branched out and formed the Pronesia Community Charitable Trust, and provided opportunities for all clubs, schools and non-profilt organisations to take advantage of the generous fundraising opportunity that was previously made available for only teams in Pronesia's sport competition modules. This decision made after realising that many sport and community groups were constantly seeking ways to raise funds for causes that are deemed purposeful and worthy.

The success of the show has snowballed, from an audience of 500 in 2003 to an audience of over 2500 in 2009. Stage of Origin received repeat plays on Maori TV in 2007, and replaced an episode of the Rove show, on prime time television with TV3.
We believe that the STAGE of Origin Challenge will survive for years to come, providing a practical way to raise funds for grass root communities.

The next few years will see the Stage of Origin Challenge move to main centres in NZ, with the second Wellington show on its way. The Austrlian challenge betweeen the states is currently pending.
